While I have nothing substantial to say, I am compiling a dictionary of common phrases and their relevance and meaning in my family. I plan to make this a regular feature, henceforth.
Here are a few to begin with.
- Gay abandon: Repeated attempts by folks to lose my brother at shopping malls
- Cup Of Joe: A cup full of Johnnie Walker
- Catch-22: The only time my BIL was imprisoned for getting fresh
- Pass the buck: A bunch of guys and their hillbilly sister
- Kilroy was here: Fuckin’ Bengalis
- Foam at the mouth: Amateur drinker
- Excuse my french: That’s what my BIL says when he can’t choose a wine

Good to see you again. I cannot comment on the likelihood of people missing you but if they aren’t, I do believe, there is a reason to good effect.
While it may be funny, the dictionary is an authentic piece of work based on realtime definitions given by real people.
I have not had the opportunity to ask what “Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers” means but my guess is, my BIL will say, tongue twister.
