Am at the Hyderabad hawai-adda awaiting a Mallyamobile that will wing me to Bangalore where I hope to mix a bit of work with a lot of pleasure.

Having observed the various goings-on, I have a question for you, my dear readers (yes Uggs & Hyph, this means YOU). If all airports I have ever been to have rather loud (and mostly annoying) PA systems that announce incoming flights, postponed departures, security checks and lost children, why the heck are there airline employees toting walkie-talkies (are we able to come in) who SHRIEK at the top of their lungs asking for passengers to board?

I have been sitting here watching Air Deccan, Go Air, Indian Airlines and Spice Jet employees saunter in and yell that passengers on their respective airlines should board now.  All this while the regular PA drones on. Which basically means, no one can hear ANYTHING. In fact, this has pissed me off so much I am going to kiss the next airline staffer (female) who yells. Uh Oh, must run - the pretty KF girl shouted that I must board from Gate2. I must pucker up. Heh heh.

But … why do they yell? Why can’t they use the freaken PA?

    Rigged/-
